His mind is a twisted torrent <br />A raging river of distress <br />The many items tangled <br />In his mind they are a mess <br />Confusion is his world right now <br />Its like this for him every day <br />So many voices yelling loud <br />He screams out GO AWAY <br />He tries hard to find some solace <br />In the screen we call the net <br />But this is his only true ecape <br />His miracle 'the net' <br />They cannot see or mock him <br />On the other side of earth <br />They do not chose to judge him <br />They just take him at his worth <br />The fidgeting doesnt bother them <br />For they truly cannot see <br />And they do not hear his laughter <br />Uncomfortable though it may be <br />His eyes light up like solar flares <br />When they message and say HEY <br />He cries when they go away from him <br />When theres no one left to play <br />Back into his cave of sorrow <br />Solitude and distress <br />Back to school or work he goes <br />Hoping he passes the test <br />Intelligence overflowing <br />In what others call a simple mind <br />But his mind is like a hard drive <br />And all the information is trapped inside <br />A very few can access it <br />But the answers they seek must be clear <br />OR he huddles in a corner again <br />Auto shutdown brought through fear <br />Do not rush him give him time <br />Do not stare or walk away <br />This simpleton you call him <br />Will be a very great man one day <br />Did you know that thousands like him <br />Became inventors, presidents and more <br />This simpleton has alot to offer you <br />Its all trapped in his core <br />Dont crowd him or laugh at him <br />Because he seems not right <br />He is simply different <br />And your reaction simply fright.<br /><br />nikki hays<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/in-his-mind/
