To be alone at Christmas, <br />is not a fun thing at all. <br />It's like sitting in an empty class, <br />or no one to call. <br /> <br />My Christmas spirit is gone, <br />somewhere I do not know. <br />I am feeling like a useless pawn, <br />no where to go. <br /> <br />I close my eye's and wonder, <br />how much fun it could be. <br />I do not need any thunder, <br />wish something was under my tree. <br /> <br />I have been a good boy, <br />this everyone can see. <br />But still I didn't get a toy, <br />how good do you have to be? <br /> <br />I do love and I do give, <br />only how much more? <br />All I really want is to live, <br />and let Christmas spirit through the door.<br /><br />David Darbyshire<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/christmas-spirit-4/
