could i be mirroring your demise, <br />forced to watch the withering of your soul, <br />a flower on the table, drained by the heat, <br />of its unatural home, <br />is that it? , did you not belong here. <br />is that why you surrended yourself to the black dog, <br />and the blue walls of deppression. <br />Did the tops of the trees, <br />and the same singing birds, <br />not burn through your eyes, <br />as you lay, day and night, <br />on your bed of a thousand tears. <br />I remember peering in, <br />watching you, watch one fragment of the world, <br />not moving, froze in deep, darkened thought. <br />As the birds came and went, <br />and the trees, blossomed, and shed. <br />How a mood can poisen a room, <br />without a single word spoken. <br />how a tear can shower all. <br />How the pain of unexplainable torment, <br />can melt ones face, <br />like a long burning night candle, <br />no longer smooth and erect, <br />now mishapen. <br /> <br />like the locked door of your bedroom, <br />you kept your pain imprisoned, <br />10 years later the son of a manic deppresive, <br />suddenly starts to feel, <br />out of place, <br />and finds himself crying for no apparent reason, <br />feeling like i have been catapulted into the air, <br />and then shot at from a thousand riflemen, <br />left searching the land for the scattered limbs of my emotions. <br />maybe now i can finally say, <br />i know how you feel.<br /><br />Not Long Left<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-day-i-was-finally-able-to-say-i-know-how-you/
