t was a cheerful summer day <br />When Sheila went to the park <br />Inside was a beautiful garden <br />The perfect place to start <br /> <br />Pink Roses were all around her <br />She too looked fresh and sweet <br />Brilliant and vibrant reds <br />What a wonderful afternoon treat <br /> <br />The Snapdragons tall and pretty <br />Of several dazzling shades <br />Sheila enjoyed herself so much <br />She didn’t want the sun to fade <br /> <br />The pansies with their little faces <br />Oh, they blended in so well <br />Like little children in school <br />It was the perfect place to dwell <br /> <br />In amongst all these flowers <br />Sheila’s smile was just as bright <br />She fit right in for beauty <br />Everything just looked so right <br /> <br />There is nothing quite like a garden <br />The look, the smell, the blend of colors <br />This day it was Sheila’s garden <br />She enjoyed it like no other!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sheila-s-garden/
