Where is all the beauty gone, I’ve looked both high and low <br />It is so hard to find these days unless you really know <br />So much war and hate in our land, it’s hidden itself so well <br />You will find it not skin deep, but the heart so pure it will dwell <br /> <br />Not just on a pretty face, and one groomed so fine <br />But one who does good deeds, which helps to lead the blind <br />One who would give his last crumb, or the clothes off his back <br />And doesn’t want recognition or others to keep track <br /> <br />The pure in heart will feel the pain of his brother <br />And his pay will be knowing that he helped another <br />I’ve lived at times in poverty, and at times excess <br />But the happiest times were when another I could bless <br /> <br />To help your fellow man, brings beauty into ones life <br />You could makes ones life easier without causing strife <br />This hating and fighting is just causing all pain <br />Happiness helping others out is where true beauty will reign!<br /><br />Donna Nimmo<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/beauty-14/
