Leaves fall from the trees, <br />Rain falls from the sky. <br />Blood flows like rivers rushing, <br />The forest is where she will lie. <br />Tears form like crystal gems, <br />Landing on the dirty ground. <br />The smile falters into darkness, <br />She will never be found. <br />An angel she once was, <br />With beautiful spread out wings. <br />Moved like a swan with her graceful steps, <br />Guarding the land of the Kings. <br />But she failed her sworn duties, <br />That turned her wings to black. <br />Damned to be alone forever, <br />Her arms she will eternally hack. <br />The harsh wind pushes against her, <br />Shivers run down her spine. <br />She wishes she was back with the Kings, <br />Eating bread and sipping wine. <br />Forced to starve forever more, <br />She desperately fades away. <br />Nobody around to comfort her, <br />No hope to help her pray. <br />Leaves fall from the trees, <br />Rain falls from the sky. <br />Fire bursts out from Hell's gates, <br />No longer immortal and doomed to die.<br /><br />EMMA Funnell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dark-angel-10/
