Yes, I have a dream too. <br />That the dream of Martin Luther King, Jr. <br />be treated not like <br />the celebration of christmas (in large part) . <br />Just a huge excuse <br />to exploit the spirit of people looking <br />for the reality of that dream. <br />Just a temporary token acknowledgement <br />that has yet to ring <br />solid like iron in its finally. <br />Just a gentle passing cool breeze <br />quickly followed by the heat of what really goes on. <br />Just a same old same old <br />like what happen in New Orleans, <br />or what happens elsewhere. <br />But rather, that finally <br />we as Americans, <br />we as a world of intelligent beings <br />truly allow ourselves to be overtaken <br />by decency motivated by love, trust and honor <br />blind to skin. And only see bones, muscle tissue and blood. <br />And then see the outter layer of each other <br />as a coat of dignity. <br /> <br />May this be seen as a support beam <br />to the good that is toiling to hang around <br />and is accomplished in the world, and in America. <br />I honestly believe though, if Martin Luther King, Jr. <br />was not shot <br />and lived to see the world as it is today — especially America, <br />he may not be overly impressed. <br />Though he would most certainly see <br />the new opportunities that present themselves, <br />looking with crinkled eyebrows <br />and a tight mouth. Saying: <br />“Mm.
