We used to listen to the radio, <br />We used to listen to those sings, <br />You used to explain things I did not understand: <br />Words, images, colors… <br />Maybe that‘s why I love words today, <br />So much I love them, because <br />They remind me of you… <br /> <br />I keep them near me, <br />In a notebook and I feel that you’re near! <br />Oh, the prayers we used to say, <br /> <br />The laughter and the smile… <br /> <br />Why have they all ceased from your face, <br />I used to wonder when life was slowly <br />Removed from your body! <br /> <br />The winds that joined forces when <br />Your soul started the journey… <br /> <br />The stories my friends told me about a traveling soul… <br /> <br />My childhood, <br />You were such a big part of it, <br /> <br />And that’s the beauty of memories, <br />They can give a scent of present tense: <br />You are such a big part of my childhood! <br /> <br />©Elya Thorn.
