As I gaze into the vastness of our Unconscious <br />I realize just how separated we have become <br />From our true selves as Human Beings <br />Caught up in this system called 'Society' <br />We have been distracted <br />From what truly matters <br />Ourselves, our minds, our brothers and sisters of Earth <br />Across the expansive oceans <br />We are connected but separated <br />By the institution of hierarchical society <br />To make us think we are better than those who are of 'difference' <br />When in fact we are all creatures and siblings of Earth <br />We are all one in the same <br /> <br />These systems of Capitalism, Communism, Fascism, Totalitarianism <br />Are all one in the same as well <br />To rule over us all <br />But declared not the same <br />By those who rule <br />Who are themselves one in the same <br />Intermarried into thirteen families <br />When will we come to realize <br />That the one who shakes the Olive Branch <br />Also shakes the arrows?<br /><br />Ryan Sanders<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/trance-thought/
