I used to write my feelings <br />so that others may understand. <br />Just what I was thinking <br />inside my heart and in my head. <br />Then one day I started seeing, <br />the view from a different glass, <br />that the heart was invisible, <br />the ink just as bad. <br />What was written on the paper <br />couldn't seem to find it's way <br />to an understanding of this person, <br />and the truth's the ink would pay. <br />Instead they saw just writing <br />some words that sometimes rhymed. <br />They saw a poem on some paper <br />missed the feelings from inside. <br />So now on this simple paper <br />with an ink that's stark and white, <br />The color faded so you remember <br />the heart that finally wins your sight.<br /><br />Heather Kemper<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-invisable-heart/
