I’m sitting at this family home, <br />Presented with my favorite dishes <br />But, I still sit alone with my glass of vinegar <br />And platter filled with thoughts for food <br />Watching teeth skinned, <br />When daddy plays Naught Professor. <br />Every moment seem more hilarious to them <br />But I swallowed without chewing; <br />How distant the earth is from the sun, <br />Yet, its warmth is felt miles away <br />But here I feel like, <br />Two planets only two meters apart <br />And I can’t feel the temperate climate. <br />Me in my own forlorn world, <br />With temperatures below zero- <br />No place to cuddle in blankets of fire wood. <br />Solitude would be a better comrade; <br />For this company sure make me feel alone. <br />I detest this feeling, <br />The only white in this district of blacks<br /><br />Luther Hippolyte<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/heart-broken-and-lonely/
