It happened so fast, only in a day, <br />In an everyday season, in the midst of May. <br />The day started off bad but had no fuss, <br />Had to walk 'cause I missed the bus. <br /> <br />But kept cheerful thoughts of butterflies <br />And two whisked right past by my eyes. <br />Later that afternoon, I just thought <br />It was a coincidence of some sort. <br /> <br />But night, walking down the strip, <br />I heard a sound that made me flip, <br />I thought it was fireworks, red and white, <br />Then I turned around to see I was right. <br /> <br />It was from a carnival, but what could it be for? <br />Then a man told me, 'To raise money for the poor.' <br />He told me when I didn't even ask, <br />Why else would he go through that task? <br /> <br />Then I saw a woman, dancing in the street <br />She didn't see me, our eyes didn't meet, <br />She was moving in time <br />With a song in my head, <br />'Heh, I must be God, ' <br />Was all left to be said.<br /><br />K.
