I have some precious memories <br />That will last a lifetime for me <br />One that will stay in my mind <br />Is lunch with an Amish family <br /> <br />It’s like stepping into the past <br />It’s the horse and buggy days <br />I wish you could be able to see <br />Their fresh old-fashioned ways <br /> <br />Cattle and a huge silo we saw <br />No electricity at all is used <br />It was so nice to see that <br />Modern technology is not abused <br /> <br />And the food was so delicious <br />Like cooked from grandma’s hands <br />Yes, such precious memories <br />From the wonderful Amish land <br /> <br />I hope you too one day <br />May have the opportunity to meet <br />This wonderful Amish family <br />And taste food that cannot be beat!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/precious-amish-memories/
