Just when I think I’m finished writing, <br />There’s movement from the spirit within, <br />As I sit down in front of the computer, <br />Still another new poem begins. <br /> <br />I saw a special on skinheads last night, <br />Preaching hate, violence and such, <br />They believe their doctrine is divinely right, <br />Respect? Their race are not getting enough. <br /> <br />I’m sure somewhere was a group of blacks, <br />Saying how whites need to take a step back, <br />While else where other groups were talking too, <br />About Palestinians, Arabs, Brits and Jews. <br /> <br />Please tell me where to get a copy of that book, <br />Because the bible I am reading has a different look, <br />Nowhere in mine does it ever suggest, <br />Jesus preferred one race to all the rest. <br /> <br />Apparently there’s a bible with a different taste, <br />One that preaches racism, murder, greed and hate, <br />In the hospital for a transfusion to save your life, <br />Plasma bags aren’t labeled black or white. <br /> <br />Does this mean I’ve read the wrong bible all along? <br />Instead of “Awesome God” I should sing another song? <br />I hope it’s not too late, I do not want waste anymore time, <br />Tell Pastor to cancel singing, “Jesus Is On The Main Line.” <br /> <br />No wonder the world is all screwed up, <br />Jesus never said drink My blood from this cup, <br />I have lived my entire Christian life in a dream, <br />The Winter Olympics proved there is an “I” in team. <br /> <br />Addicts can share bottles
