Abraham or Thomas, two opposing views, <br />In kingdom principles, which one are you? <br />Hailing from Missouri, the show me state? <br />Or, is there sincerity walking only by faith? <br /> <br />There is such a thing as the Faith Hall of Fame, <br />Moses, Joshua, Caleb are just a few of the names, <br />Numbers chapter 13, to believe God ten did refuse, <br />And they caused the death of over 2 million Jews. <br /> <br />Is your faith like Abraham, trusting in God’s word? <br />Thomas had to see first, not believing what he heard, <br />Which will the Lord honor, as the other is cast aside, <br />1 is besieged by truth,1 is plagued with foolish pride. <br /> <br />So, whose name is mentioned most in bible scripture? <br />Between them, tell me the one that’s a positive picture? <br />Stop for a minute in your life, taking a good look around, <br />Abraham or Thomas, where are you likely to be found? <br /> <br />As long as you continue to walk only by what you see, <br />You’ll never experience the reward and taste the victory, <br />Why is there an epidemic of a monster bearing initials HIV? <br />Well, it’s impossible to tell by looking who has the disease. <br /> <br />Easy to have faith when it’s directly in front of your eyes, <br />And when you are the one that’s in control of the surprise, <br />Sure the pain’s hurtful and the financial distress is for real, <br />Faith is standing on the word of God, not by how you feel. <br /> <br />If by chance it’s the latter, how come you’re still there? <br />Blessings are waiting but don’t look for life to be fair, <br />There is one and only one way to receive the promise, <br />You need the faith of Abraham, not the faith of Thomas.<br /><br />Luke Easter<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/abraham-or-thomas/
