Some claim the human soul lives forever who knows perhaps that well might be <br />That at time of death the soul leaves the body the body bound for a cemetery <br />The soul lives in another body though many does not see it that way <br />Those who believe in a paradise beyond the sky for eternal happiness pray <br />I've never had an epiphany or out of body experience so of such things I cannot claim to know <br />But when I ask myself does the soul live forever the answer is who knows maybe so <br />But I do truly believe in karma to such a belief I relate <br />For karma it is truly Universal from life we reap what we create <br />And as for the soul we all have one but whether the soul too does die <br />That is something I wish I could answer a question for one more enlightened than I <br />We are not meant to live forever we are mere mortals after all <br />Sometime to the scythe of the Reaper all air breathing life forms must fall <br />And death is a relief for many of their life problems they are set free <br />But does the soul live on forever that is too big a question for me?<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/does-the-soul-live-on/
