Just take a look around the people and places, <br />There are so many wonderful, strange, <br />And different faces, <br />For a world this diverse and creative, <br />Just blows me away, <br />And makes me want to paint a picture, <br />Even many pictures that depict this world, <br />And I don't just paint by numbers: <br />I use my skill and imagination to create a perfect world, <br />And I don't talk down, I look up at the sky, <br />I look to myself to see the reasons why, <br />As I get dizzy on the kids' round-about, <br />And I don't need to scream and shout, <br />I just need to know what this life is all about, <br />Because I don't have a huge ego, <br />Although I can dance the night away. <br /> <br />These are the days of our lives, <br />And we need to treasure every moment, <br />Because we are not trash, <br />No matter what they may say, <br />And I look forward to every summer, <br />And every Christmas, <br />Life an adventure to be lived, <br />Because we are all a national treasure, <br />And a prized beauty. <br />No one is superior and no one deserves fame, <br />And as we travel the world, <br />With all the diverse people and places, <br />We can find a solution to our problems, <br />We can experience different cultures and creeds, <br />And realise in our travelling experiences, <br />We can all live this life and succeed, <br />So I shall travel to many places, <br />And love the different styles of fashion, <br />And many creative faces, <br />For life should be celebrated, <br />And we should live each and every day to the full.<br /><br />Paula Glynn<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/people-and-places/
