I wish I had another minute to show how much I love her
I would give her flowers every day
I would just listen to her talk about her day
I would clean the house better
Make her favorite meals
Laugh with her
Dance with her
Talk to her more about my life and who she raised me to be
I would, if I could
But I can’t…

She died over 11 years ago
I haven’t gotten over it since
No one has ever been there for me as much as she was
No one has ever cared as much as she has
No one has sacrificed more to make sure that I am the man I am today
But, I realized it all too late

Her beauty was captivating
Her laugh was intoxicating
Her strength knew no bounds
And she loved her sons to the highest level

If I had another minute this is what I would do
I would hold onto that woman so that she couldn’t leave
Give her my strength so that she could fight the battle that she lost
Give her my youth so that she could hold on for more years to come
And give her my heart because love conquers all

Even though her illness took my mother away
I hope she knows that I will be seeing her one day
And when I see her, I will shout and dance for joy
I may be a man, but I will always be her little boy

I love you mommy

Andrew Sheran

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/loving-memories-last-forever/
