Outside looking in <br />I find my head begin to spin <br />And somewhere in the distance <br />I can sense their resistance <br />Will they see me standing there <br />Or will I avoid the stare <br />I see the face of evil creatures <br />It stands out in their features <br />But loving people run <br />To find they’re no longer in the sun <br />The cold gets in their soul <br />Then they’re no longer whole <br /> <br />But it’s a place they can hide <br />From the things that reside <br />As long as they abide <br />To the rules they have inside <br /> <br />Inside looking out <br />I find I’m swallowed by my doubt <br />Where is this place I seek <br />The outcomes looking bleak <br />Because there’s something in my head <br />That makes me begin to dread <br />But I can’t tell from the vision <br />If I made the right decision <br />But I’m sure I’m soon to know <br />Where I’m meant to go <br />If the darkness in my soul <br />Doesn't return the things I stole <br /> <br />But it’s a place they can hide <br />From the things that reside <br />As long as they abide <br />To the rules they have inside<br /><br />Liam Hughes<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/outside-looking-in-10/
