When I was younger, <br />Like about ten years ago, <br />I began dreaming about Emily, <br />A girl I didn't even know. <br /> <br />Her eyes were the hue of the earth, <br />And her mane the colour of sunshine. <br />And I couldn't wait until night to sleep, <br />All through the day I used to pine. <br /> <br />I would hope to dream of her, <br />The way she made my heart glow, <br />The scent of her sweet perfume myrrh, <br />And her skin as pale as snow. <br /> <br />I had never even experienced this before, <br />I have to confess she was my first crush, <br />This girl in my hand, of my fiction, <br />She'd make my face flush. <br /> <br />I began heading to bed earlier than usual, <br />Waiting the hours out just to hit the sack, <br />But we began fighting and we broke up <br />And she stopped coming back.<br /><br />K.
