God gives His Shepherds sheep to keep <br />To feed along The Way <br />But like Bo Peep who lost her sheep <br />Theirs too are found to stray <br /> <br />We say that smoking is a sin <br />Also beer and wine <br />And so we bar more souls within <br />Who’d otherwise be fine <br /> <br />Whiling in church till sleek and fat <br />Thinking we fall not short <br />Sieving gnats whilst leaving a rat <br />Like those of whom Christ taught <br /> <br />From bibles of a by gone age <br />In language all but gone <br />We seek and ponder page by page <br />And hope to find God’s Son <br /> <br />Yet traditions bar many doors <br />Religions keep us bound <br />Till so confused to numerous flaws <br />The Truth remains unfound <br /> <br />To Calvary cross lives need to guide <br />Before the tomb left bear <br />Not hindering neighbours walk inside <br />To life and Heaven’s share <br /> <br />We need to practice what we preach <br />With service clear in mind <br />Living The Way that we may reach <br />Those weary lost and blind <br /> <br />To love our God The Lord who’s One <br />To love our neighbours true <br />So is the will of Heaven’s done <br />By me my friend and you<br /><br />Michael P.
