Why can't the words I say mean what <br />I meant to say to you that time? <br />You heard my voice, but not my mind. <br />Those words I said: I meant them not! <br /> <br />I can't explain what happens where, <br />Inside my soul, the thoughts are chained <br />To cold and concrete walls of pain. <br />I long to free them from despair. <br /> <br />They fight against their captor: I, <br />Who cannot speak the word they need <br />To let them leave my tired head. <br />Instead they torment me with 'Why.' <br /> <br />'Why spoke you words we never said <br />Why told you her, when we told you <br />Those thoughts of ours were never to <br />Be heard outside your foolish head! <br /> <br />'You made it worse!
