There is nothing more thrilling <br />Than to watch a dangerous bull ride <br />One handed the cowboy is <br />Trying hard to not break stride <br /> <br />But a million things can go wrong <br />As they’re high up in the air <br />So that’s why before they ride <br />They bow their heads and say a prayer <br /> <br />Everyone is waiting in anticipation <br />The bulls ready for the gate to open <br />And the cowboy’s are anxious too <br />Making 8 seconds is what they’re hopin’ <br /> <br />Some of the bulls are just going <br />Through their paces naturally <br />And others, well, they’re mean <br />As mean as they can be <br /> <br />The cowboys are hopeful <br />They’ll match up pretty good <br />To the bull they’re going to ride <br />But it’s just a chance that’s understood <br /> <br />So much to do in preparation <br />But that’s their lives for the most part <br />It’s something that from a little kid <br />Just nestles into their heart <br /> <br />I hope you get a chance, folks <br />To observe an exciting bull ride <br />There is nothing in the world like it <br />Watching cowboys and bulls collide!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/bull-riding-fun/
