I enjoy so much the fields of crops <br />As I travel across the land and find <br />Huge and modern machinery <br />Ah yes, it’s planting time <br /> <br />Most of us plant in the spring <br />Or summer may be the urgent call <br />But sometimes the time to plant <br />Is actually some time in the fall <br /> <br />And I just love to dropp a seed <br />Into the wonderful fertile soil <br />And after a few days waiting <br />A tiny plant begins to uncoil <br /> <br />Delicate little crops are great <br />Or large crops with a product to sell <br />The fresh smell that wafts in the air <br />Of golden harvest after it fell <br /> <br />The perfect rows in deep black dirt <br />Are planted and watered and such <br />So much time and effort giving <br />The land that perfect touch <br /> <br />Yes, it’s a wonderful thing to watch <br />And I think that you will find <br />There is nothing quite as fascinating <br />As it is during planting time!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/planting-time/
