Did you ever notice that <br />So much history is found <br />As we take off ‘cross country <br />And simply drive around? <br /> <br />A covered bridge that was built <br />Well over one hundred years ago <br />Eventually destroyed by fire <br />So sad, don’t you think that’s so? <br /> <br />Always it’s exciting <br />When a windmill whirls around <br />Older ones are even better <br />As I watch and hear their sound <br /> <br />So beautiful a windmill is <br />In the early morning light <br />Oh yes, those treasured windmills <br />Are part of my traveled sights <br /> <br />Across the fields and meadows <br />My heart feels full and warm <br />As my memories awaken quickly <br />Seeing my grandparents loving home <br /> <br />Yes, life is full of mysteries <br />As well as childhood dreams <br />As I trudge along life’s path <br />It only gets better it seems!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/life-only-gets-better/
