Oh so many treasures <br />Invented many years ago <br />And at the time they were founded <br />Folks grew to love them so <br /> <br />The Victrola for instance <br />To give music to folks’ lives <br />Every parlor had to have one <br />A guy could romance his girl or wife <br /> <br />The telephone was an invention <br />That closed the gap of distance <br />Needed for so many reasons <br />An emergency for instance <br /> <br />Then there was a cream separator <br />So important in butter making <br />A kitchen must of course <br />For a woman to do some baking <br /> <br />And the iron was one thing <br />That made one look much neater <br />They would put it on the stove <br />Or warmed it on the heater <br /> <br />Yes, it’s so much fun <br />To look to the past and see <br />The beginning of technology <br />Now so changed for you and me!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/treasures-from-the-past/
