I didn’t find my belief <br />My heart was dried as a leaf <br />My will was between my feet <br />I was like a wanderer in the street <br />But since she came to me <br />I have reached where <br />I always wanted to see <br />She has been there <br />To show me where <br />I always have to be… <br /> <br />She makes me be a child <br />When I am by her side <br />I’ve forgotten my gray days <br />My soul’s become strong and wild <br />She knows me on the inside <br />She knows how to make me smile <br />When I always want to cry <br />She enjoys my steps and my ways <br />She does kiss me not rile <br />And be strong, not to let love by. <br /> <br />I’ve been alive <br />She’s made my feelings survive <br />Stars are within reach of me <br />The sun shines on my life <br />My heart is not rife <br />With new emotions to see <br />My days go on to be alive. <br /> <br />She does not let sadness go down on me <br />She makes me happy and free <br />I feel as I never felt before <br />She is always at my door <br />When I need her not to be alone <br />She does teach me how to do things <br />On my own <br />She is the bright illusion in my feelings…<br /><br />Edgar John Jackson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/alive-21/
