You press a button. <br />On what? <br />You’re so curious. <br />This mysterious black object with holes. <br />And buttons. <br />Lot's of buttons. <br />Green. <br />Blue. <br />Yellow. <br />Grey. <br />Press one. <br />Does it matter which? <br />Not to you. <br /> <br />You hear something. <br />What is it? <br />A beat? <br />A rhythm? <br />Words? <br /> <br />A song. <br />Your favorite song. <br />Suddenly that beat, that rhythm, those words fill you. <br />You remember what the box was: <br />A radio. <br />A blessing from God to give you nothing but the joy of what? <br />Music. <br /> <br />The music. <br />It takes you somewhere. <br />Where? <br />Who-knows-where. <br /> <br />Now suddenly your body convulses in uncontrolled movements. <br />What is this? <br />Has the Devil entered you? <br />Surely not. <br /> <br />It's Dancing. <br />You can't stop. <br />It's a force in you. <br />Making your body twitch this way and that, spastically. <br /> <br />Here. <br />There. <br />Everywhere. <br />Your hair's a mess. <br />You don't care. <br />Who does when you have already been consumed by such a foolish act? <br />Nobody. <br /> <br />Then, oh why, God stops the blessing. <br />'What have I done?
