Strange how I’ve never been here; here 'where the air is so fresh and clear.' <br />I can see forever at this height, resting on my knees near this white rose. <br />Far above the Red-rose city, the ancients travelled and lived in these hills. <br />Now I'm quietly very still, attempting to bury the dead, what a thrill. <br />The sun gently smiles on my tears, where love's Rose pricked me here. <br /> <br />Though it’s not quite the grand-can, it’s spectacular, peaceful, without fear. <br />This rose- a symbol of love, for which you half-pie cared, regrettably died. <br />This rose, with your distracting thorns, for which I now am saying goodbye. <br />This “snow white rose” is as deep, as any love, as the ocean, or width of the sky. <br /> <br />To this love, the delusion, the enchanting divine choice, I am saying “don’t cry.' <br />He rocks my soul now, the grief I can’t bear; I leave everything to him in prayer. <br />No- you won’t tell me you love me, when you love another too; yet I still care. <br />All hail the power of the elusive Rose, many have succumbed to your flair...<br /><br />ArmourQuill Hunter<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-buried-my-rose-today/
