She cries and cries, everyday. <br />About her past, about her pain. <br />Life owes her, she just knows. <br />And until that day, she will carry on. <br /> <br />Her babies eyes fill with tears. <br />A little boy and girl so sad. <br />They have no mom to share their life. <br />Their too worried about making her mad. <br /> <br />She was a rose. <br />Pulled from the roots. <br />Someone plucked her petals. <br />Her hearts in a noose. <br /> <br />Little children cry on a lonely night. <br />While thier moms alone debating her life. <br />Momma screams, shes on her knees. <br />The children cry, the cycle repeats. <br /> <br />She swore she'd never do the things her mom used to do. <br />She would raise her own children the way your supposed too. <br />She would love them, kiss them, hold them tight. <br />But tonight they sit alone in their room and cry. <br /> <br />The cycle repeats, the children grow. <br />Promises will be made. <br />But will the day come as they grow old, <br />That lies will take their place. <br /> <br />And the cycle repeats... <br />The children grow... <br />One day they pray... <br />The cycle will be broke...<br /><br />Lance Carthen<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-repeating-cycle/
