Last night I dreamt <br />You hugged me. <br />Or was it I <br />who hugged you? <br />I don't remember <br />and it doesnt matter. <br /> <br />I do remember <br />your arms around my body <br />and mine around yours- <br />the tickle of your soul patch <br />on my neck. <br /> <br />And it was a long hug, <br />a close hug, <br />an- I feel your heartbeat hug <br />an- I-understand-you-so-completely- <br />we-dont-even-have-to-use-words <br />hug. <br /> <br />It was a dream hug <br />and now that I am awake <br />I know it couldn't get any better <br />than that. <br /> <br />Because dreams <br />destroy the barriers <br />amassed by <br />an alert mind <br />upon the opening of <br />eyelids.<br /><br />Noemi Lee<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/only-in-dreams/
