A breath lost in the moment <br />Holds the very key to life. <br /> <br />A life lived within <br />A single heart beat, <br />Within a single blink, <br />Within a single sigh. <br /> <br />Pure beauty, <br />To capture a life of love. <br /> <br />My eyes fall upon radiance <br />And my lungs collapse. <br />Time holds its heavy hands <br />As I melt away slowly. <br /> <br />Wind tossed locks, <br />Burn desire into my soul <br />As my skin longs <br />For white silk embrace. <br /> <br />Just as I fall, <br />Head over heel, <br />I feel one strong beat <br />Of hardened heart protect. <br /> <br />Thoughts of the combined <br />Flow in and out <br />Like addicting music, <br />Serenading love’s stake. <br /> <br />As my breath stalls still, <br />Your emerald skies meet <br />The icy blues where I live. <br />In humbled blush attempt <br />My eyes bow before yours. <br /> <br />As cold, dark night <br />Gives to warming light <br />My dreams find companionship <br />In the lake of blue-green glance. <br /> <br />Together we dance, <br />Graceful step flow, <br />Over mirrored lake <br />Like mating swans. <br /> <br />This lake becomes eternity <br />As this mute holds <br />Celestial beauty closer <br />Then my own redemption. <br /> <br />Wrapped in the moment, <br />I release held breath. <br />Loose lips sink ships, <br />And mine part for yours. <br /> <br />The water fills the void <br />Between my lips, <br />As I sink to reality, <br />And breathe again. <br /> <br />Each breath of mine <br />Brings distance between us, <br />But I shall always hold <br />The life of love in the moment.<br /><br />Robert L.
