That little white stick <br />W hich you hold in your mouth <br />Has so many diseases that affect your health <br />Its hard to give up <br />Ask someone who smokes <br />If you say there addicticted <br />They will say that you’re a joke <br /> <br />Theres warnings on the boxes <br />Warning you of death <br />From 555 to Panama <br />Some like passive smoke instead <br />They say that smoking kills <br />As it eats away at your cells <br /> <br />The government has put the price up again <br />Some people can't pay there bills <br />The cancer is like an agent <br />It will seek you out one day <br />The cravings are hard to put into words <br />But can take your breath away <br /> <br />Some kids are starting young <br />As they smoke throughout the day <br />There clothes are kind smelly <br />And there teeth brown with decay <br /> <br />The smoke affects your taste buds <br />As you add a little salt <br />Fishfingers used to taste so good <br />Until you started to smoke <br /> <br />We have to address the problem <br />And we have to address it now <br />Ban smoking from pub and restaurants <br />Ban smoking from the inner towns <br />No smoking for the under 18s <br />Though they may not thank us now <br /> <br />But when they grow into adulthood <br />There lungs will be clear and sound.<br /><br />Mahfooz Ali<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/cigarettes-3/
