Greed 1 <br /> <br /> <br />They are parasites <br />chewing me <br />outside in. <br /> <br />Their greed, <br />motivation, <br />sucking what little <br />goodness I have left. <br /> <br />I see the fog which <br />surrounds them. I want– <br />I have to run, <br />far, please God, <br />protect me. <br /> <br />They burrowed <br />my skin, pierced, <br />fragile, so fragile, <br />I have become. <br /> <br />I am tired. <br />Hate is draining, <br />oh how I hate them. <br /> <br />My feet are bound, <br />they pull me in, <br />more, whispering, more– <br />give us more. <br /> <br />They don’t care <br />that I am parched. <br />Raising my hands, <br />I ask for help, <br />shelter me. <br /> <br />They still swarm. <br />Claiming they love me, <br />but love shouldn’t hurt, <br />like this. <br /> <br />One day I will escape <br />from them, one day… <br /> <br />I will be free.<br /><br />shirts williams<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/greed-1/
