Who I Am <br />by Barbara Lynn Terry <br /> <br /> <br />I am a transgenderd being, <br />Secure in who I am, <br />That others will know, <br />I have nothing to hide. <br /> <br />It will kill them in their minds, <br />Because for one like me, <br />I should just not be seen, <br />Or even heard from. <br /> <br />To those who wield the power, <br />I am a force to be reckoned with, <br />Because there is nothing stronger, <br />Than the force of a secure mind. <br /> <br />Steadfast in the knowledge that, <br />We know who we are <br />And who we need to be, <br />And that we are here to stay. <br /> <br />I am just a normal woman, <br />With an abnormal birth defect, <br />That needs medical help, <br />To be this girl in me.<br /><br />Barbara Lynn Terry<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/who-i-am-37/
