What am I? <br />Just a little thing; <br />A tiny speck, <br />Or a searing dot, <br />On the horizon of your unhappiness? <br /> <br />No, I am more... <br />More than a tiny speck, <br />Or that tiny dot, <br />More than what has been said, <br />Or even undone... <br />I am Me. <br /> <br />My children think I am more, <br />More than what little you would have me be. <br />I am so much more... <br />Than you could ever see. <br />For the battles I have faught have shaped me; <br />Scarred and have raped me... <br />And you never seemed to embrace, <br />Or understand <br />My agony. <br /> <br />I am not the same as I once was, <br />Nor can I be, <br />The one you want me to be; <br />For I am only Me- <br />Alive within my naked glory... <br />In the truth of all things I am <br />And all I've become, <br />From all I've undergone; <br />Which has shaped me into being. <br /> <br />I am far more than what you see, <br />More than what outwardly shows. <br />Definately more than your judgement, <br />Or your silent condemnation. <br />For true friends who do not judge, <br />Claim I am more than your hatred. <br /> <br />Forevermore, I will be more, <br />Forever being me- <br />Just me, I will be, <br />Nothing more... <br />Nothing less.... <br />No longer a tiny dot <br />Upon the blue <br />Of your unhappiness. <br />Just me, <br />Forevermore. <br /> <br />So go from me now, <br />Closing the door upon my unforgiveness.... <br />And take with you this key- <br />This key which is buried in you; <br />Forevermore..... <br />Forever Me. <br />Forever Free. <br />Forever MORE.<br /><br />Lesa MRK<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/forever-more/
