Bad to the Bone

Your very sultry look, and sexually enticing eyes, and your every word
stirs the deepest part of my body, as many messages from you I've heard.
To lay with me and to feel my heart beating ever so loudly next to yours
is your desire, to find both our hearts, minds, as bodies rise, as fire soars.

A distance between us as a wall – a safety net is not what you now accept.
However, we must know each other as good friends before lovers, and yet
you are finding that ever so difficult to do, to contain as I need and want to.
Shots of strong electricity rush through me, I say - just between me and you.

However, I do laugh and often say to you that you really are 'bad to the bone',
as we speak softly and closely to each other's vulnerable hearts empty home.
Are you really 'bad to the bone' or simply a man who is a lonely 'man's man'?
Or maybe so damned open and honest, if so you are a good, strong man, alone?

If it should be that I eventually find that you are simply playing a fool's game,
gone from my life you will be in a flash of a second, and that would be a shame
as we have already shared much of each others stories of our past lives and times.
If there is not truth and honesty between us, then our lives are not worth my rhymes.

If we have both been open and truthful of our real selves – the good and the bad,
then our futures will be as a wonderful fairy story, always happy and rarely sad.
My Man, I do hope that you are really real and not a vision or a crazy dream,
as my nervous does mind tell me that all is well and it is, yes, as it does seem.

Colleen Wright.
