As I weave through this early Spring day <br />many thought pass through my active mind, <br />of some I'd like to write to you and do say, <br />'I hope my appreciation in words you'll find' <br /> <br />Of your giving openness and honesty – I love <br />Of the patience and caring from you – I love <br />Of your time, understanding and giving – I love <br />Of your actions and not feeble words – I love. <br /> <br />A unique friendship in a short time we've formed, <br />of old and sad stories we've shared and mourned. <br />So many hilarious happenings we've told <br />some were beautiful, and some were bold. <br /> <br />Of our individual dreams - of where in time we aim. <br />Strange or will of God? They do seem to be the same. <br />So idyllic a life to want – is it too much to ask? <br />Is it how our creator hoped we'd begin – and last? <br /> <br />Each person is separate – a masterpiece of nature. <br />Too often two together form an unhappy picture <br />Too rarely it seems one does find the other half - <br />to meld together – to enjoy sunshine and to laugh. <br /> <br />Oh, to find the 'right' person and to walk hand in hand <br />to love, laugh, cry - to share happily and to understand. <br />For each other wanting 'to be there' and 'to give' <br />and 'till death do us part' – the motto we will live. <br /> <br />Meanwhile, until that great day does arrive, <br />with God and wonderful friends and I thrive. <br />For you and I – what tomorrow will bring <br />we know naught – really, not a single thing. <br /> <br />We do not always receive that of which we plan <br />but in retrospect, often we see why – not in our hand. <br />So let us wait and accept what our destiny is to be <br />we cannot know of – or into the future predict or see. <br /> <br />Colleen Wright.
