'Love's Heart' <br />As this soul is torn asunder, <br />I can only wonder. <br />Did she love my the way I loved her? <br />Why did I let her slip through my fingers? <br />Hell is the only thing that awaits me, <br />for it is my true destiny. <br />And yet these feelings I cannot hide, <br />I thought her as my world. <br />My skin crawls from the flames, <br />a scream escaping these lips. <br />My thoughts swirling in my head, <br />this is a bad dream and I should go back to bed. <br />And yet they return to her smiling face, <br />I know it's over and yet I cling. <br />She was worth more to me than any material thing. <br />Bone chars as the flames grow higher, <br />I'm lost in her eyes...those pools of desire. <br />I remember our first kiss, as the flames caress my lips. <br />Another soul condemned to Hell, <br />oh Lord save her, <br />for it is the only thing that matters to me, <br />as far as I can tell. <br />-Dying Romantic 3: 08 am July 30th<br /><br />Brandon Chiles<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/love-s-heart/
