I <br /> <br /> <br />I am a creature with brain <br />to think, <br />to imagine, <br />and most of all to reason <br />You see like you I am not thick and dumb <br />I have something to say; <br />I am a creature with heart <br />to pump blood <br />to keep me alive <br />and most of all to feel <br />Just like you brave and vulnerable <br />Therefore I have something to share; <br />I am a creature with a body <br />of bones to support me <br />tissue, muscles to shape me <br />system, organ to complete me <br />and most of all hair and skin to have beauty; <br />What a wonderful creature called me <br />Not just unformed thing but a human being. <br />I am a creature with a spirit <br />Something in me that cannot be seen <br />but most of all not a material thing <br />The very inner part of me worth for offering; <br />I am a creature with the image and likeness <br />of someone I named God <br />Who gave me freedom with wisdom to understand <br />-why build and not to destroy- <br />Who gave me will with faith to fulfill <br />-my purpose to live in peace and to promote justice. <br />You see my friend I am not different <br />I am like you capable to love not just to hate <br />Because I do believe like you I am, too, a gift from God <br />We are the same yet unique from one another <br />And who deserves respect from each other <br />Therefore why not start to accept you <br />And you to accept me?<br /><br />Jordan Legaspi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-65/
