Just the faintest whisper of your voice <br />can still the heaviest of storms. <br />The mere mention of your name <br />can advert all attention towards a greater purpose. <br />Who you are could never be explained <br />with the words of a simple man, <br />but can be uttered on forever by the wisest of the wise. <br />You are one that can overstep the bounds, <br />break the barriers, open the new doors <br />that lead to a bettered life of meaning. <br />It is said that beauty exists for only a moment in time, <br />a simple second of awe and wonder <br />...oh how you have proved them wrong. <br />For in the case of my treasured friend, beauty does not have an end; <br />yet moves with each step and carried in such depth. <br />Does not wear away in the tomb, <br />but rushes to each heart to bloom. <br />The day is wakened with your simple grin <br />and the poem of promise, with you does begin <br />Oh how you mean more to life to so many people, <br />and are the backbone of good for what you want. <br />To know you...to really know you, is the greatest of adventures. <br />It makes me excited to wake up knowing that in time, <br />I will always have you being a friend of pure motive. <br />Nothing exceeds this warmth that you leave, <br />but the promise that it will return the next. <br />I am the happiest of happy to be assured <br />of an eternal life with a friend who Jesus pointed out <br />...and for that, I thank Him everyday! <br />For tomorrow comes, burdened with remorse over the time lost <br />without a stride of pride, to your side, oh blessed angel <br />who in the Heavenlies, you do reside. <br />Be content with who you are and what you have done, <br />for you are a reason that God keeps raising the sun, <br />and the grounds for which Satan has been outdone.<br /><br />Trevor Schulte<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-friend-worth-the-write/
