To be 50 is free, a time to think of me <br />To reflect on the past <br />And live for the future <br />And to learn from my life experiences <br />I am never too old to do the things that I enjoy doing <br />And there is no such a thing as I can’t, I can do lots of things if I only Tried <br />I got to be me <br />I got to be strong <br />I got to be open and honest <br />And never to be afraid to speak up <br />I won’t judge a person by its color, <br />What matter’s is what she has inside <br />I won’t let myself down, I will praise myself <br />I am happy to be alive <br />Life is precious, even though we live in a cruel world <br />Sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind <br />And every day is a blessing to wake up feeling good about you <br />I must think positive, and get rid of my negative thoughts <br />I will treat my neighbors and my friends with respect <br />I will avoid fights and arguments <br />God you are the reason for living <br />You filled my mind, my spirit, and my body with thy fresh blood <br />There are lot of people worst of then I am <br />I got everything I need <br />I got every reason to be proud of whom I am <br />I will leave my life one day at a time <br />I am God’s child <br />I have been put in this world for a reason; I have a mission here on Earth <br />I can’t be only taking in friendship, I got to give too <br />I want to be treated the same way I treat you <br />I hope to be around for a long time <br />I know that I got to take care of myself, because nobody else will take Care of me <br />I have to take every opportunity that comes around, to go out and meet New people <br />I have to keep busy with myself, otherwise I go crazy <br />I don’t want to be alone; I need people in my life <br />To make my days brighter, and to share my life with <br />I don’t want to die alone, and end up abandoned by my friends <br />I want to feel needed, because I belong in the community <br />I have a mind of my own, I have my own opinions <br />I think different than you <br />I do things in a different way then you<br /><br />Aldo Kraas<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/to-be-50-is-free-a-time-to-think-of-me/
