Hatred ……. <br />Is it due to rival’s arrogance? <br />Is due to pain caused by outsider? <br />Is it due to pathetic history? <br /> <br />Is it ‘cause you are poor? <br />Is it ‘cause they are rich? <br />As you don’t have food to eat? <br />Or they dump extra food and crops in the sea? <br /> <br />Is it because they ill – treat you? <br />Is it the “God” never listen to you? <br />Or else listening to your rival? <br /> <br />Is it because some bad people are rich? <br />Is it because most god people are poor? <br /> <br />Where are we wrong? <br />Where is hatred? <br />Where is revulsion? <br />Where is odium? <br />Where is detestation? <br /> <br />It’s within you and me….. <br />reasons are no more than your thoughts <br /> <br />Why? <br />We grab stimulant <br />Then, <br />Develop anger. <br />Finally hatred….. <br />Hatred never solve the agony <br />It aggravates instead. <br />Mind precedes all thoughts and actions <br />Compassion is the answer <br />But, <br />There is a BIG BUT…. <br />Difficult to practice…. <br />Challenging to be consistent.<br /><br />Kolitha Lelwala<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/why-hatred/
