Sitting at this computer screen, <br />seeing the words tap, tap, tap, <br />into being, into virtual reality, <br />millions of years, pictures parade... <br /> <br />I've got the Veil Nebula, Doradus, <br />Eagle, Saturn, as screen savers. <br />Got Andromeda peeking round the <br />Corner, with Jupiter in close pursuit. <br /> <br />Got the insanity of Caligula, and the <br />sanity of Cleopatra, tears of King Tut, <br />Ovid drinking from Nemi's lake, <br />Vesuvius, Krakatoa, Pangea splintering <br /> <br />Apart. Got roses, bumblebees, violets <br />and willows in the Spring. Snowscapes in <br />the Winter, Ice Ages from time, Mammoths, <br />Saber Tooths, and the Ice Man speaking <br /> <br />of his last hours. Got cave paintings, ancient <br />man sitting round fires, afraid. And when <br />I return from getting coffee, there's T-Rex <br />googling me, all the Allosaurus, the Nazca <br /> <br />lines, mysteries of Macchu Picchu, Montezuma's <br />brothers, and Noche Triste. Got Tikal, sacred <br />cenotes, the ice on Magellan's beard, and the <br />Clovis people...got subway conversations, <br /> <br />interstates of wandering, Area 51, and <br />the Philadelphia Experiment, Newport News, <br />and then I pause, look up, turn the screen page, <br />and see the innumerable questions.... <br /> <br />'Help! I don't have anything to write about! ' or <br />'Writer's Block! ! ! What do I do?
