Day and night. The times are missed, <br />From the moment they had kissed <br />The night was calm and sweet <br />This surely was a treat <br />Two people close as two can get <br />Now together watching the everlasting sunset. <br /> <br />A summer’s fling <br />How the birds like to sing <br />No two people could be more in love <br />Neither want to go <br />Though both know <br />That’s the way this must go. <br /> <br />Their last night together <br />Neither wanting to get to later. <br />And at last word, he says <br />“Baby, please, don’t leave me…” <br />She doesn’t want to but knows she has to… <br />She looks him in the eyes, asking <br />“Can you say that you love me? Honestly? ” <br />When there’s no reply, she simply says bye. <br /> <br />Days to weeks. Weeks to months.
