They say that love is beautiful, <br />That there’s nothing that can compare, <br />So why do they cast us, <br />With their icy cold glare, <br />If love is supposed to be so natural, <br />Then why are we being punished, <br />Don’t they understand, <br />That this is love, <br />When I hold your hand, <br />Cant they see, <br />That our love comes naturally, <br />How can they say that it’s so wrong, <br />To love, to adore, to be with someone, <br />Sometimes I want to run away, <br />So I don’t have to face another day, <br />Where they will look down on us, <br />Disgust written on their faces, <br />But then I realize, <br />That it’s their problem not mine, <br />So let them cast us aside, <br />Let them live with their hatred inside, <br />Cause I don’t care anymore, <br />If our love is a sin, <br />Then I’ll quite happily be buried within<br /><br />Jade Baker<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/to-sin-is-to-love/
