I walk along the streets of fate <br />As a dark blanket engulfs the sky <br />Rain pouring down with anger and hate <br />Of which, I cannot deny <br /> <br />My voice buried beneath the storms <br />And my shadow, invisible to all <br />Twisted emotions in different forms <br />Only a few of which I can recall <br /> <br />Lampposts shine a glimmer of hope <br />And light paths for those passing by <br />Along the black pavements and slopes <br />Beneath the heavens up high <br /> <br />The trees and plants shudder away <br />From the roaring thunder and rain <br />Longing to seek a new found day <br />If their existence will still remain <br /> <br />Pricks and needles shatter my skin <br />Only nature knows how I feel <br />Brewing senses from a tugging within <br />For these emotions are actually real <br /> <br />Rain, rain, stay with me <br />Hide the sun away from my sight <br />Clouds hanging low, let them be <br />So I’ll forever stay in night <br /> <br />I hate the sun for its utmost joy <br />I hate the lies it tells <br />Let the sun be destroyed <br />Before it bids its final farewell <br /> <br />Leave me be, leave me alone <br />Not a fraction of truth remains <br />Let my life be written on the stone <br />That forever dwells in the rain<br /><br />Anders Lim<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/rain-dweller/
