Time to dwell and make amends <br />For all the things I may have thought <br />But then again it takes two it seems <br />Can you amend as well? <br /> <br />We play a very dangerous game <br />When we choose to mate <br />For though we are a solitary breed <br />We mate for life it seems <br /> <br />It is the rule in many a union <br />That one dominates the both <br />Though we still hold that loner thread <br />Our desire to follow that path is strong. <br /> <br />We can live a solo life <br />But we need that occasional union <br />For some that union will last out their time <br />Others its not something they desire for long. <br /> <br />Will you choose the solitary life <br />Or face the union for life <br />Will you know if you should let go <br />Or will you suffer in silence <br /> <br />Is one soul melded with another <br />The path you wish to take. <br />Or is your soul always seeking more <br />Are you the wandering type. <br /> <br />Its time to sit and dwell <br />To see the path less taken <br />To reach a decision <br />Wonder what it will be.<br /><br />Alison Smith<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/path-you-wish-to-take-the/
