I’ve got a new favourite author <br />George Gamow – I read his book <br />Mr Tompkins in Wonderland <br />six years ago now I’m buying one <br />to read again, told in verse and in song <br />how the cosmos began with a mighty big bang <br />and inflating forever - or not - maybe one day <br />it will shrink and wither away - maybe <br />it never began and just was <br />always there… <br />Now I shall sing all the songs <br />of The Cosmic Opera and enjoy <br />the debate of 1946 amongst cosmologists <br />and astrophysicists on the origin of <br />all existence – and fly together <br />with Mr Tompkins into an electron <br />shrunk into the smallest particle - <br />what a lovely way to present <br />cosmology to me!<br /><br />Margaret Alice<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/lovely-way-to-present-cosmology/
