When trials come more often than I bear, <br />I ask myself, “Must Christians all suffer? ” <br />Most worldly people appear to well fare; <br />“Are tribulations for purpose better? ” <br /> <br />“Why does God let the evil harm the good? ” <br />“Oh, how much longer must I endure, Lord? ” <br />“Do I suffer for sins of my childhood? ” <br />“Perhaps, my faith’s being tested by God? ” <br /> <br />God does not give us strife beyond limits; <br />He wants to make us better Christians fast; <br />But Satan tries to turn souls into bits; <br />God gives us ‘Crown of Life’ by trials vast! <br /> <br />When trials come, devils to us liest; <br />Our suff’rings aren’t greater than that of Christ! <br />Copyright by Dr John Celes 12-16-2006<br /><br />Dr John Celes<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sonnet-when-trials-come-2/
